“Seamless Floors Break Through”

A brand-new company building, a distinct name for its in-house installation service, and the development of an international partner network: it's a busy and exciting time for Liquidfloors. The Zwevegem-based producer and installer of seamless floors for the residential market is thriving and intends to continue that trajectory. “Our ambition is to become the European market leader in our niche segment,” says CEO Miguel Garcia.
Miguel Garcia founded Liquidfloors 13 years ago. “This company grew out of my previous interior design business. From the outset, we wanted to specialize in seamless floors for living and working spaces, but to do that, we had to completely reinvent the product. Once we perfected the right ‘formulas,’ we began handling all installations ourselves.”(BVC - Foto Kurt)

Today, Liquidfloors works with selected partners in countries like Slovakia, Norway and Finland. These partners not only sell the company’s products but also install them, after receiving thorough training. Commercialization is progressing well, as more people recognize the many advantages of seamless floor systems: they promote calm, allow furniture and decor to shine, and are extremely easy to maintain. Seamless floors have also become increasingly popular for applications such as walk-in showers and staircases.
In the early years, however, the sales team had a tough time convincing the market. Traditional architects weren’t always open to the idea. Some pioneering designers had experimented with epoxy floors, but those weren’t fit for residential use. Only through persistent efforts and an increasing number of eye-catching projects, including the iconic Salmon Eye in Norway, an art gallery in Paris, and numerous standout Belgian interiors, did the concept begin to take off. Today, interest has grown far beyond Europe, with inquiries even coming in from Australia and the United States. While global expansion remains on the horizon, the company is currently focused on building a strong European partner network, one it can fully support with its deep expertise and years of experience.
The Hub
Liquidfloors is also one of the anchor brands in The Hub, a collaborative showroom for high-end interior and architectural brands in Antwerp and Ghent. This presence enables the company to reach a growing number of architects and specifiers. Meanwhile, back in Zwevegem, major investments are being made in its own headquarters. Together with property developer Hexagon from Roeselare, Liquidfloors is developing Park Apart: a new business park that will house the company’s new offices along with 22 SME units. The new HQ is also home to the Liquid Academy, a training center where installers and partners are taught Liquidfloors’ advanced techniques and systems.
