In this new build home in Melsele, a calm and consistent foundation was chosen throughout the entire interior. Socrete, a mineral resin floor applied by hand with a trowel, was used in the living area, kitchen, hallway and bedrooms. The selected shade, 59 Perfect Pavement, gives the floor a soft grey tone that complements the light wood, white volumes and large glass surfaces throughout the home.
The floor flows seamlessly from one space to another, reinforcing the open layout of the house. In the living room, it acts as a quiet backdrop for the furniture and fireplace wall, while in the kitchen it connects the island and dining area. The trowelled finish introduces subtle variations, giving the space a warm and natural feel.
In the bathroom, the same material continues onto the walls. Around the bathtub and within the shower, this creates a uniform finish where floor and wall visually merge. The result is a clear and balanced space in which sanitary elements and custom furniture stand out.
Functional areas follow the same logic. In the garage, Endur was selected, a stronger PU floor suited for intensive use while maintaining a clean and refined appearance.
The combination of soft materials, natural light and a mineral resin floor running throughout the home creates an interior where calm and cohesion emerge naturally.
