For the new office of PR agency Walkie Talkie in the centre of Ghent, a workspace was designed to bring together different ways of working. Workstations, meeting rooms and circulation areas flow into one another within an open office layout.
Throughout the entire office, Socrete in the shade 59 Perfect Pavement was selected. The mineral resin floor creates a calm and seamless foundation between the different spaces. In an office with constant daily movement, from employees to visitors and deliveries, a seamless floor is a practical choice. Transitions between spaces remain visually clear while maintenance stays simple.
The soft grey tone of Perfect Pavement balances the more expressive colours and materials used throughout the interior. Coral-red wall panelling, warm wooden volumes and curved passageways are given space to stand out without making the design feel busy. The floor connects the different zones and allows the interior to be read as one cohesive whole.
Functionally, the floor also plays an important role. Across long corridors, meeting rooms and open workspaces, the surface remains continuous and clean, without joints or thresholds. This makes the space not only calmer to look at, but also more comfortable in everyday use.
The result is an office where bold interior choices are paired with a calm and durable foundation underfoot.
