Interieur kustappartement met houtfineer panelen en grijze Socrete gietvloer

For this holiday apartment in Nieuwpoort, Josfien Maes designed an interior where simplicity and materiality take centre stage. Calm tones, warm wood textures and natural stone come together to create an atmosphere that immediately feels like coming home by the sea.

Throughout the apartment, Socrete in the shade 37 Early Cotton was applied. The mineral resin floor runs seamlessly between the kitchen, living area and circulation spaces, maintaining a visual connection between the different zones. The seamless surface enhances the open character of the apartment and allows the interior to be read as one cohesive whole.

The light and soft tone of Early Cotton pairs beautifully with the natural materials used throughout the interior. Warm wood veneer, stone textures and the fabrics of curtains and upholstery gain added depth without making the space feel busy. The subtle variations created through the trowelled application give the floor a lively surface that complements the calm atmosphere of the apartment.

In a holiday residence where comfort and ease of use are important, practicality also plays a key role. The seamless finish without joints creates a low-maintenance surface that is easy to clean and perfectly suited to everyday life in a seaside apartment.
