In this new build penthouse in Uccle, designed by AFC Collection, Socrete in the shade 62 Morning Snow was selected for the living room and kitchen. The mineral resin floor flows seamlessly between both spaces, creating a calm foundation for the interior.
The light tone of Morning Snow pairs beautifully with the warm wood veneer of the custom joinery and the soft tones of the furniture. By extending the floor as one continuous surface, the open living area remains visually clear while creating a natural connection between the kitchen, dining area and lounge.
Socrate is applied by hand with a trowel, allowing subtle nuances to remain visible within the surface. This gives the floor character without drawing attention away from the interior itself. Combined with the abundant natural light entering through the large windows, the floor takes on a lively appearance that shifts throughout the day.
Beyond its visual qualities, daily use also plays an important role. In an open living environment where cooking, dining and living come together, a seamless floor offers practical comfort. Without joints or transitions, the surface remains easy to maintain and allows the space to feel like one cohesive whole.
