Liquidfloors acquires Limburg-based Excellent Gietvloeren

Miguel Garcia & Andy Cochet

Cast flooring specialist Liquidfloors acquires Excellent Epoxy Flooring. Former partner Andy Cochet will stay on board as sales manager for the region. This is the first acquisition for Liquidfloors, which will take it past the 1,000 projects a year mark. Liquidfloors CEO Miguel Garcia is particularly excited to serve the Limburg region even better from now on.

Excellent, also known as Hilo Floors, has been operating for 10 years from its premises in Genk's Wolfbergstraat. The company has enjoyed a strong reputation for years and was worthy competition for Liquidfloors in Limburg. Liquidfloors has now been active in Limburg for 5 years with an operational cell, but did not yet have a sales area in the region to receive its customers. This takeover of both the trading fund and branch now brings maximum reinforcement to Liquidfloors' services in Limburg.

Operational management falls under Koen Vleugels, who forms a professional tandem with Andy Cochet. Both men, born and raised in the region, combine a wealth of experience.

Miguel Garcia: “Both Koen and Andy are fantastic men with a lot of experience behind them. It is very pleasant working with them.”

The arrival of the unique Liquidfloors products now opens up new opportunities for both clients and architects in the region.

Miguel Garcia: “Liquidfloors brings seamless floors, which bring calm to an interior and also support other materials beautifully. This can be soft or rough, sleek or tough. Besides the well-known sleek cast floors, we also have beautiful and durable stucco floors. With the award-winning Socrete, our mineral resin floor, we have another unseen product in house. As a result, we can handle almost any style and project. From floors to walls, stairs to walk-in showers.”

With almost seventy Liquidfloors employees, the operational strength widens considerably. Thus, the company offers unique support to its customers, architects, property developers and contractors.

Meanwhile, the press also reported on the acquisition by Liquidfloors. Both Made in West-Vlaanderen and Made in Limburg picked up the news and an honourable mention followed in the online magazines Wonen360 and Archicomm.
